Meet Mitch, Our Director and Technical Expert

At the heart of our operations is Mitch, our talented Director who brings a wealth of expertise and experience to both the front of house and the workshop. A qualified MOT tester, Level 4 Hybrid and EV Technician, DSG qualified technician, and F Gas air conditioning certified, Mitch’s skill set is truly extensive.

Whether he’s overseeing the smooth running of our front-of-house operations or getting hands-on in the workshop, Mitch is always ready to jump in and ensure everything is running at its best. When in the workshop, Mitch is particularly passionate about tackling diagnostic jobs and enjoys the challenge of fault-finding. His problem-solving skills are second to none, and he’s always ready to lend a hand to the other technicians, sharing his knowledge and expertise to ensure the team thrives.

Outside of work, Mitch enjoys spending quality time with his family, supporting his children at their various activities. He’s also a die-hard Leicester City fan and a season ticket holder, with the proud distinction of having witnessed the unthinkable when Leicester City won the Premier League – an achievement Mitch will never forget!

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Mitch’s leadership and technical prowess guiding us every day. Whether it’s managing operations or getting into the nitty-gritty of vehicle diagnostics, Mitch is always up for the task!

Meet Beth, Our Office Manager

Beth is the friendly face behind the counter and the welcoming voice on the phone, making sure everything runs smoothly from the moment a vehicle is booked in to the moment it’s handed back. She keeps customers updated every step of the way and ensures every handover is handled with the highest level of care. With her attention to detail and warm personality, she makes sure every customer leaves with a smile.

Outside of work, Beth loves spending time with her family and going on long walks with Rosie—walks that often (and quite rightly!) end in a pub. She also enjoys visiting her favourite place, the Cotswolds, where you’ll likely find her soaking up the sun with an ice cream in hand.

Beth is a vital part of the team, and we’re lucky to have her keeping everything running seamlessly!

Meet Jay, Our Skilled Technician

Jay is a highly valued member of the UNR team, with a wealth of experience in the automotive industry since leaving school. Over the years, he has built up an impressive skill set, achieving his NVQ Level 3 qualification, becoming a certified MOT tester, and completing Level 4 Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training. His dedication to his craft is evident, and Jay is always eager to expand his expertise. To stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving automotive world, he regularly attends training courses, ensuring that he’s at the forefront of the latest advancements.

Jay’s passion for cars and technical excellence makes him a vital part of the team, and his expertise plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Outside of work, Jay loves spending quality time with his family, especially his cocker spaniel, Max. He’s also a huge Formula One fan and never misses a race, always cheering on his favourite driver, Max Verstappen. As a dedicated Notts County supporter and proud season ticket holder, Jay ensures he’s there for every home game. Additionally, he loves visiting his favourite UK destination, Hunstanton, where he can unwind and enjoy the coast.

We’re lucky to have Jay’s skills, enthusiasm, and commitment as part of the UNR family!

Meet Gint, Our Skilled Technician

With over 30 years of experience in the motor trade (though we won’t mention that too loudly!), Gint is a true expert in his field. His attention to detail is second to none, ensuring every vehicle that leaves the workshop has had the very best care. Whether it’s routine maintenance or a complex repair, Gint’s skill and dedication mean our customers can always drive away with confidence.

When he’s not in the workshop, you’ll still often find Gint fixing cars—because for him, it’s more than a job, it’s a passion. But he also makes time to travel and enjoy life with his family. An invaluable member of the team, we’re lucky to have Gint with us, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Meet Leo – Head of Security

Meet Leo, our four-legged Head of Security! Don’t let the title fool you—Leo’s version of security involves greeting every visitor with a wagging tail and a hopeful look for belly rubs. He takes his job very seriously, ensuring that no customer or delivery driver leaves without a proper welcome.

On sunny days, you’ll find Leo basking in the doorway, soaking up the warmth while keeping a watchful eye on the comings and goings. But when he’s off duty, he swaps his ‘security’ role for that of an enthusiastic bird chaser, sprinting around until he’s completely worn out. After a hard day’s work, Leo’s favourite place is curled up on a willing lap, snoozing the afternoon away.

Meet Rosie – Our Office Dog!

If you’ve ever visited our office, chances are you’ve been greeted by the happiest (and furriest) member of our team – Rosie! Always eager to meet new customers, Rosie is here to brighten your day with a wagging tail and hopeful eyes (especially if you have treats).

When she’s not hard at work offering cuddles and collecting snacks, Rosie enjoys long countryside walks, followed by well-earned naps at home with her favourite human, Beth.

Meet Conor, Our Dedicated Apprentice Technician

Conor is an enthusiastic and dedicated apprentice technician who is passionate about learning his craft. Whether he’s in the workshop or attending college, Conor is committed to expanding his knowledge and skills, always eager to tackle new jobs and continue his development in the automotive field.

His determination and hard work make him a valuable asset to the team as he gains hands-on experience and grows in his role. Conor’s positive attitude and willingness to learn mean he’s always up for a challenge and continuously strives to improve.

Outside of work, Conor is a keen footballer, playing for a local team on Saturdays, and he enjoys spending time working on his car at home. Whether it’s tackling mechanical repairs or washing and polishing, he takes great pride in keeping his car looking immaculate.
